Patricia Curtis Recalls the Past in new Storytellers Series

Patricia Curtis moved from Gray Rapids at the age of 17 and returned at 60. In this first installment of Storytellers, Patricia reminisces about the days of her youth spent at a one room schoolhouse, skating at Morgan’s Rink and why she returned to the river.

Storytellers, the new Memories of Blackville video series, will feature local people recalling the past and sharing their fond memories of our community; a nostalgic look-back at days gone by.

Watch Patricia share her story in the embedded video below. Patricia returns to Memories of Blackville next month to pay tribute to her war veteran parents Byron and Ella Curtis in the upcoming Blackville Women’s Institute’s Memories of War series. Very nice Pat. Paul remembers the snow plow driver and laughed. You are a natural.

Fantastic!!! I enjoyed this so much. Some people tend to forget where they came from and try to pretend that they grew up with a silver spoon in their mouth. You certainly don’t, you tell it like it is/was and I love that. Great job!

Storytellers from a small town in New Brunswick produced by a young, talented man in the same community. This is the start of a series he is producing and it is well worth listening too. Some of you may relate to what Patricia Curtis shares in her story. WTG Les McLaughlin for producing this Memories of Blackville production and I look forward to hearing many more stories.

Well done Patricia Curtis. Well produced Les McLaughlin. Keep them coming. I am wondering if you are going to have a series of them coming out?
