Local Cadet in Leadership Role at Maritime Camp
Congratulations to 679 Blackville Squadron Air Cadet Mitchel Moody on achieving the rank of Sergeant at the Greenwood Air Cadet Summer Training Centre. He will be working at the Cloud Lake Survival Training Site for the summer. Mitchel is the son of Steven and Tracey Moody of Blackville.
Joining Mitchel at Greenwood is Flight Sergeant Brett Duffy, who is attending the six week Drill and Ceremonial Instructor Course. FSgt Duffy is a very accomplished cadet previously graduating from the Air Rifle Marksmanship Instructor, Basic Drill and Ceremonial and General Training courses.
Greenwood Cadet Training Centre, in Greenwood, N.S., is one of four Cadet Training Centres in Atlantic Canada. Cadets from across Canada are at the training centre this summer taking part in aviation, music, survival, leadership, and fitness and sports programs. Through participation in the Cadet Program, young people develop valuable life skills in teamwork, citizenship, leadership and physical fitness while having fun and meeting new friends.
