NHL player Jake Allen, professional goaltender for the St. Louis Blues, visited Blackville School on Friday, May 22 for a meet and greet with students from grades 3 through 12. Allen, who was on the Miramichi for a fishing vacation, visited the school to sign autographs and pose for photos with students.

Photographs were provided for all students and Allen signed nearly 400 pictures. Allen is originally from Fredericton and spends his off-season in the capital city.

The meet-and-greet was arranged by Jake’s father, Kurt, who is a member of the New Brunswick Interscholastic Athletic Association (NBIAA) Executive Committee with Blackville School Principal Rodney Buggie.
