Canadian Idol Finalist Visits Blackville
Canadian Idol contestant Casey Leblanc visited Blackville today as part of Canada Day celebrations in the village. The Blackville High School gymnasium was packed to the rafters with Idol fans hoping to catch a glimpse of the recording artist. Born in Woodstock and raised in Nackawic, the New Brunswick native performed a selection of songs made famous from the hit television singing competition and signed autographs for her fans. Casey finished fifth in the series.
Following the mini-concert, the always-popular fireworks show saw a huge turnout in the Blackville Municipal Park. The Canada Day Parade will take place tomorrow at 2pm.
That article on the mill makes me wonder whether the problem might have anything to do do with the poor quality of wood found in Canadian stores. I have heard that the best is being shipped off to the states and New Brunswickers are offered left-overs
