My Memories: Cecilia Brophy

Memories of St. Patrick’s Day

By Cecilia Brophy

I remember as a child being in a concert on one occasion; I was about 8 or 9, and a group of children performed. We sang in our Easter Bonnets… some were dressed like bunnies, cotton tail and all, and some with fancy hats and two as butterflies. It was directed by Mrs. Ross.  At that time we took the plays to Doaktown and Newcastle. So many stories and the train brought people from Newcastle to Doaktown.
